Terms of Service

These Terms are a contract between you and CR3W Ltd ("LOVBIRD", "we", "us") for use of the website lovbird.app and its content. By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to them.

1. Who can use LOVBIRD

You must be 18 years or older. LOVBIRD contains mature romantic themes intended for adults. We may suspend accounts where we believe the holder is under 18.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account. One person per account. You may delete your account at any time from My Wallet → Delete account; coins and VIP time remaining are forfeited on deletion.

3. What you get

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to stream content on lovbird.app for your own private viewing. You may not download, record, copy, share, re-upload or publicly perform any content, or circumvent access controls. All content is owned by or licensed to CR3W Ltd.

4. Coins and VIP

Episodes beyond the free ones are unlocked with coins, a 7-day pass, a film rental or a VIP subscription. Full details, including refund rights, are in the Coins, VIP & Refunds section, which forms part of these Terms.

5. Changes to the service

Series may be added, extended or removed. If we permanently remove a series in which you have unlocked episodes with coins within the previous 30 days, we will refund those coins to your wallet. We may change coin prices, episode prices and VIP prices; changes never apply to purchases already made.

6. Acceptable use

Don't scrape, automate, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service; don't use it for anything unlawful; don't upload or post anything (e.g. in support messages) that is abusive or infringes others' rights.

7. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for interruptions caused by your device, connection, or third-party services.

8. Termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms. Where we close an account without breach, we will refund unused purchased coins and the unused portion of any VIP period.

9. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. UK consumers may bring claims in their local courts. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

Coins, VIP & Refunds

Coins

• Coins are a virtual currency usable only on LOVBIRD to unlock episodes. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred, exchanged or withdrawn.
• Purchased coins are bought in packs. Bonus coins (welcome bonus, daily check-in, pack bonuses, invite rewards) are free promotional coins and are spent before purchased coins.
• Each unlocked episode stays unlocked on your account permanently (unless the account is deleted).
• Coins never expire while your account is open (they are forfeited only if the account is deleted).
• New members get free welcome coins, and first-time buyers may be offered a one-off starter pack. Offers are shown before you pay.
• Coin and episode prices are shown before every purchase. Prices include VAT where applicable.

VIP and the 7-day pass

• VIP (also called Unlimited) is a subscription that unlocks every episode of every series for the paid period, with no coins needed.
• The 7-day pass is a weekly subscription: it unlocks every episode of every series for 7 days from purchase and then renews automatically every week at the weekly price shown before you paid, until you cancel. Each weekly payment adds another 7 days of access. The renewal price and frequency are shown on the plan and on the payment page before you pay. (7-day passes bought as a single payment before 4 November 2026 do not renew.)
• VIP renews automatically at the end of each period at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. We'll email you a reminder before any yearly renewal.
• Moving from the 7-day pass to VIP stops the pass from renewing; you keep the pass days you've already paid for.
• If a weekly pass renewal payment fails, we stop the renewals and do not retry; you keep access until the end of the week you've already paid for.

How to cancel a subscription

• Cancel any time, in a few taps: open My Wallet (tap your coin balance or avatar) → Cancel anytime next to your renewal date, or Manage subscription & receipts. This opens our payment provider Stripe's secure page, where you choose Cancel. You can also email hello@lovbird.app from the email address on your account and we'll cancel it for you.
• Cancelling stops all future renewals; you are not charged again. You keep access until the end of the week (7-day pass) or period (VIP) you've already paid for. To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date, which is shown in My Wallet and on your receipt.
• If you paid without an account, your LOVBIRD account was created with the email you paid with: sign in with that email to reach My Wallet.

Film rentals

• Some complete series can be rented: you can watch every episode of that series for 48 hours from purchase. The price is shown before you pay. A rental is a one-off payment and does not renew.

Your right to cancel (14-day cooling-off)

Refunds

• Because coins, the 7-day pass, VIP and rentals give you immediate access to digital content, all purchases are final once supply has started, and we do not offer refunds for change of mind, unused coins or unused VIP time.
• We will refund only where the law requires it: a duplicate or unauthorised charge, or content that is faulty and that we cannot fix within a reasonable time.
• In other cases, if something went wrong on our side, we may at our discretion offer bonus coins instead.
• Your statutory rights are not affected.

Any refund goes back to the original payment method (processed by Stripe) within 5–10 business days. To report a problem, email hello@lovbird.app from the email address on your account, with the date of the charge and what went wrong.

Privacy Policy

CR3W Ltd is the data controller. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO registration no. C1922990).

What we collect and why

• Account: email address, your sign-in method (an emailed code or link, Google sign-in, or a hashed password for older accounts), age confirmation, account creation date — to run your account (contract).
• Purchases: coin/VIP purchases, wallet balance, transactions — to deliver what you bought and for accounting (contract, legal obligation). Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see your full card number.
• Viewing: which episodes you unlocked, what you watched and how far, reminders you turned on, and daily check-ins — to remember your progress and prevent abuse (contract, legitimate interest).
• How you found us: the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you arrived on (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content) and the first page you landed on, saved with your account when you sign up. We use this to understand which channels bring members (legitimate interest).
• Emails from us: we only send new-episode and new-series emails if you ask for them (consent): by joining with your email from a sign-up box that says we'll keep you posted about new episodes, by ticking the box at signup, by turning on a series reminder or My List, or by turning them on in My Wallet. Boxes are never pre-ticked. We record your choice and when you made it. You can withdraw consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in any such email, the toggle in My Wallet, or by emailing us. Service emails (receipts, renewals, account notices) are sent regardless. We count clicks on links in our emails to see which stories you enjoy; we don't track whether you open an email.
• Technical: IP address and basic logs from our hosting provider for security (legitimate interest). We only use advertising cookies if you accept them (see Cookies).

Who processes your data

• Supabase (database & authentication, hosted in the EU — Stockholm)
• Stripe (payments — Stripe privacy policy)
• Vercel (website hosting, and cookie-free page-view counts: no cookies, no personal profile)
• Cloudflare (storage and delivery of videos and images)
• Resend (sending our emails) and ImprovMX (forwarding emails you send to hello@lovbird.app)
• PostHog (analytics, hosted in the US)
• Google (only if you choose to sign in with Google)
• Meta (advertising measurement: cookies only if you accept them, plus the server-side conversion events described under Cookies below)

We do not sell your data. We share it only with these processors, or where the law requires. Where a processor handles data outside the UK (for example in the US), the transfer is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US Data Bridge.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted within 30 days of you deleting it. Purchase records are kept for 6 years as required by UK tax law.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, and complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). Delete your account from My Wallet, or email hello@lovbird.app.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary storage for your login session, your 18+ confirmation and your interface preferences. We also use analytics (PostHog) to understand which pages and episodes people watch. Until you press Yes on our cookie banner, PostHog stores no identifier on your device (no cookie, no local storage) and records no session replays; each page view is counted anonymously. Only after Yes does it keep an analytics identifier and record anonymous replays of how pages are used (anything you type is hidden) so we can fix what doesn't work. You can change your answer at any time with the Cookies link at the bottom of the home page.

Advertising cookie (Meta): only if you press Accept on our cookie banner, we load the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. It sets cookies (such as _fbp) so Meta can tell us which of our Instagram and Facebook ads brought visitors here and whether they signed up or bought something, and so Meta can show our ads to people likely to enjoy them. If you press Decline, nothing from Meta loads. Separately from cookies, when you join or pay we send Meta a server-side conversion event (Conversions API) containing a hashed version of your email address, your IP address and browser type, and the ad-click reference if you arrived from one of our adverts, so we can measure which adverts lead to sign-ups; it never includes your name or what you watch. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookies" link at the bottom of the home and watch pages, or here. The Pixel is never used in our iPhone app.

Content & AI disclosure

Fiction

All LOVBIRD series are works of fiction. Characters, names, places, businesses and events are imaginary or used fictitiously. Any resemblance to real people, living or dead, or to real events is entirely coincidental. Every character depicted is an adult aged 18 or over, including any character who may appear younger.

How our content is made

LOVBIRD series are created with the assistance of generative AI tools for imagery, video, voice and music, and are written, directed and edited by our team. All people shown are AI-generated, fictional characters, not real individuals. We do not use any real person's face, likeness or voice without their written permission, and we do not knowingly use copyrighted characters, footage or music that we do not have the right to use.

Content rating

Our stories are romantic and mature in theme and may include kissing, intimacy, sensual tension, implied (not shown) nudity, peril, mild violence and strong emotions. They contain no sexually explicit material. LOVBIRD is intended for adults aged 18 and over; by using the site you confirm you are 18 or older.

Ownership

The series, scripts, characters, artwork and other content on LOVBIRD are owned by or licensed to CR3W Ltd and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. "LOVBIRD" and the LOVBIRD logo are trade marks of CR3W Ltd. You may not download, copy, record, re-upload, redistribute, train AI models on, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

Creator content

Where a series is made by an independent creator, it is credited to them. Creators confirm to us that they own or have the rights to everything in their series and that it follows these rules. We review every series before it is published and may remove any content at our discretion.

Reporting a concern

If you believe any content infringes your rights, uses your likeness or voice, or breaks these rules, email hello@lovbird.app with a link to the content and details of your concern. We will acknowledge your report within 2 working days, respond within 7 days, and remove content while we investigate where appropriate.
